When I think of fall, the song Autumn Leaves (a very oldie but goodie) comes to mind. And so when the holiday catalog came out I was thrilled to see the new set "For All Things" because of the great leaf design. Really has been a busy time this August so I cased my card from someone ( don't remember who) but I added/modified for my own tastes. Hope you like it.
That's my kitchen wall color behind the card. Looks like cajun craze to me. The colors I used were cajun craze, crushed curry, a little tipping with cherry cobbler, soft suede, and some mossy meadow ribbon. Also used some threads from our burlap ribbon to make the little loops. Now I am ready for a fall road trip to check out the colors. Maybe wait 'til October; still so nice here in Washington.
This month's blog hop is all about black and white. Check out my card below.
I used the Perfect Pennants stamp set - love its versatility. And I cut the banners out with the Banners framelits. The stars can be cut out (in silver glitter paper) with the new Stars framelits. Also used the new DSP paper "Back to Black" in the 2014 Stampin'Up catalog. Whisper white and basic black card stock is a must have. The only embellishment I used was the candy dots - black from the neutral pack. Such a quick card to make for any workshop. Five minutes or less! Hope you like it.
Just finished making this with a friend. Really enjoyed new media. I used a box from Ben Franklin and I had just learned how to make the crepe paper flower. Lots of fun putting this together. She is a seamstress so we used buttons, mini thread spools and other embellishments. Hope you like it.
Had time to play yesterday - actually ran well into the night on this project. I just pulled out some retired Stamping'Up paper and some blocks and ribbons, and of course embellishments, and SURPRISE!! Here is what I ended up with - hope you enjoy!! This is for my fall craft club. Papers and color scheme may vary.
Blog Hop time!! Oh My!! What shall I do? My daughter got the paper plate/napkin set below from Costco. That was my inspiration for my card design. But what stamp set and papers should I use? Well, the June Paper Pumpkin kit came the very next day and answered all those questions for me. I used only what was in the kit with the addition of night of navy, real red, and whisper white card stock. I also made out the invitations with left over material.
I was so excited to have all the goodies in the paper pumpkin. I did cut down one of the pinwheels to fit my card. But all the supplies were there:
Three stamps, "celebrate", "party", and the stars
(They are polymer and just worked slick. Lovin' them!)
24 Red and White Straws
24 Pre-cut and pre-punched pinwheels of four different designs (double-sided thick designer paper)
Small Night of Navy Stamp Pad
Gray and White Baker's twine
Cellophane Bags for Treats
Big brads and paper clips
Banners
What a great deal Paper Pumpkin kits are - and only $19.95.
I did use the star bunch from the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, and the new Silver Glimmer Paper for the star on the big brad.
This card could be used for many different occasions. Hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for stopping by.
